Gas Chromatography Systems Maxum LLC seeks an RandD Mechanical Engineer in Houston, TX.
Duties:
Design complex components and release them to production. Support manufacturing interface with quality, marketing, electrical engineers, and analytical chemists to define the most cost-effective high-performing solutions for product design challenges. Help set new directions for the GC product. Ensure that hazardous area design (Ex, purging, Intrinsic Safety) are in all aspects of the design. Innovate GC detectors, valves and other intellectual property. Partake in complex sheet metal design and packaging. Design precision machined assemblies using GDandT. Participate in electronic PCBA and cabling integration as well as Thermal and mechanical stress modelling/simulation and Finite Element Analysis, and 3D Modeling/printing and hands-on prototype development. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States up to 5% of the time Some telecommuting is permitted.
