Electrical Engineering Technician

An Electrical Engineering Technician is needed for a leading manufacturing organization outside of Evansville, IN. The Engineering Technician will support new model introductions through calibration, testing, and digital interfacing of vehicle electrical systems. You'll work closely with global teams and use advanced CAD tools to investigate and implement equipment modifications.

Ideal candidates will have a background in electrical engineering, vehicle communication protocols, and CAD modeling. Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Catia, XVL, or Inventor is essential. This role involves travel up to 20%, especially during shutdown and model change periods.

responsibilities:

• Support project planning for upcoming model changes
  
  
• Lead simultaneous engineering for vehicle electrical control systems
  
  
• Conduct FEA, equipment investigations, and installation/modification planning
  
  
• Write equipment bid specifications and ensure technical compliance
  
  
• Interface with vehicle ECUs using both wired and wireless tools
  
  
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and global divisions
