Etch Process Development Engineer

Develop future technologies for Meta's fully immersive AR glasses. Specifically, engage with tool vendors in developing and qualifying etch tools and processes to be deployed at Meta's manufacturing sites. Work closely with Meta's manufacturing sites to create a manufacturable process flow with the deployed tools and processes. The candidate is expected to collaborate with the design, metrology, integration and process engineering teams to develop etch technologies for advanced waveguide fabrication.

Qualifications: Masters or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or materials science At least 6 years experience in semiconductor etching At least 3 years experience in ion beam etching At least 5 years experience developing partnerships with external vendors and manufacturing partners At least 5 years experience developing novel integration process flows Competency in statistical process control PhD or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or materials science 5+ years experience in wide band gap applications 5+ years experience in ion beam etching 2+ years experience in diffractive optics 2+ years experience in augmented reality
