Position Summary

The Federal F inOps Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Project Management team to achieve project goals and objectives. The Government FinOps Coordinator will be the main point person administratively supporting a project through its complete lifecycle. The Government FinOps coordinator will ensure billing, timekeeping, and reporting follow established compliance guidance unique to Federal and State Government clients. Additionally, the FinOps Coordinator understands the business and how it is imple mented within Oracle Fusion, Sikichs Project Management system, identifying issues and potential improvements. The FinOps Coordinator helps with day-to-day tasks related to the projects and ensures accurate financial results.

What will you do in this role?

  • Main point of contact for the Government Pillar for management of projects in Oracle Fusion
  • Ensure billing, timekeeping, and reporting follow established compliance guidance unique to Federal and State Government clients
  • Configure and administer projects in collaboration with Project Owners (PO) and Project Managers (PM)
  • Ensure that established Project Management and billing requirements are upheld
  • Coordinate across the Finance department and PO/PMs to understand and troubleshoot issues
  • Apply existing knowledge of Federal billing practices, ensuring billing requirements are upheld
  • Manage contract setup, modifications, and adjustments
  • Revenue review and troubleshooting, ensuring proper revenue recognition
  • Manage issues via a centralized ticketing board
  • Identify areas for improvement, make recommendations to upper management
  • Other special projects, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field or 5+ years equivalent experience, including at least 3 years in the Federal segment, required.
  • Prior experience in Financial Operations, Sales Operations, and/or Project Management, required
  • Experience billing Federal contract travel, incl. GSA, JTR, and relevant FAR regulations
  • Experience with Oracle ERP or similar cloud-based project and financial management tool
  • Experience with IPP, WAWF, VIPER and other Federal billing systems
  • Exposure to GSA IFF calculations and reporting in TDR and non-TDR schedules
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, familiar with operating in cloud-based software
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, share responsibilities, and collaborate
  • Ability to operate successfully in a deadline-driven remote environment with minimal oversight
