Here's what you'd do:
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of industrial plastics processing equipment.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is experienced with 3D modeling and design for manufacturing.
You'll be involved in projects from concept through production, working with custom machinery used in industrial manufacturing processes.
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
Create and revise 3D models and detailed drawings for manufacturing
Manage and organize design files using PDM (Product Data Management) software
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, machining, and electrical engineering
Participate in product improvement initiatives and custom machine builds
Provide technical support during fabrication, testing, and assembly.
Here's what you'll get:
Pay rate: $33.00-$38.00/Hour
Hours: 40 hours/week 1st Shift- 6:00 am-2:30 pm Monday to Friday
Length: Temp (6 months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design in a manufacturing or equipment-building environment.
Minimum 2 years of experience in SolidWorks and familiarity with PDM tools
Minimum 2 years of experience in machining, fabrication processes, and tolerancing
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with the design of custom machinery or plastics processing equipment
Understanding of mechanical systems such as pneumatics, gears, bearings, etc.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
