Wastewater/Stormwater/Water Resources Project Manager We are looking for a Water Resources Project Engineer with experience successfully delivering a broad range of water resource projects to support design of Railroad Transportation Projects nationwide. Responsibilities will include the design and analysis of open and closed storm drainage systems for transportation projects including hydrology and hydraulic analysis related to culvert sizing, open channel design, bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, storm sewer infrastructure design, and floodplain analysis. In this role you will contribute to a collaborative team environment. The desired candidate will supplement the design efforts of the civil-rail and structural-rail design group. The Impact You Will Have Perform hydraulic and hydrology (H&H) analyses and design for transportation projects Prepare drainage reports in conformance with client and industry standards Assist with plan production related to drainage design, stormwater management, and detention facilities, water quality/MS4, quantities,s and specifications Contribute to project goals and milestones and monitor project progress Assist in the preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, studies, reports, construction drawings/plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of stormwater design and planning projects Ensure the development of high-quality engineering documents Adhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking Assist with project pursuits What You Will Need Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required 12-16 years of transportation drainage experience PE License preferred A history of progressive responsibility in transportation/roadway drainage design including: Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling with an emphasis on rational method and TR-55 design methodologies Experience with plan production software including AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads Experience with programs such as: HY-8, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM, StormCAD, CivilStorm, Watershed Modeling System (WMS), Surface Modeling System (SMS)/SRH-2D, FHWA Hydraulic Toolbox, CUHP, FLO-2D, Mile High Flood District spreadsheet tools Excellent communication skills, verbal and written A track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to prioritize, work on, and advance multiple projects simultaneously Thorough understanding of state, regional, and special district design standards Experience developing stormwater management plans and water quality design/MS4 Experience with plan production related to transportation projects Experience developing deliverables per DOT or DOT standards and requirements A desire to learn and strengthen skills #LI-MM1 The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location.
