Job Duties: Responsible for training and the development of staff, including: estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies. Experience and Education: Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices. Leads and directs the work of other employees. Level I supervisors typically have little authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions, and much of the incumbent's time is spent completing the same tasks as the subordinate employees. Typically requires a accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 3 or more years of experience. Reports to: Typically reports to a department head or manager. Competencies: Ability to foster teamwork. Decision-making skills. Problem management. Technical expertise. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines.
