Engineering Technician

An Engineering Technician is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in Tualatin, OR. This senior-level engineering technician role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience and proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SDS, Inventor, or AutoCAD 3D, with a preferred associate degree or drafting certificate, to perform advanced design tasks, ensure quality and standards compliance, and provide technical guidance within multi-disciplinary project teams.

responsibilities:

• Function at a senior engineering technician level with minimal supervision.
  
  
• Perform advanced tasks using electronic applications, standards, and document control procedures.
  
  
• Provide technical guidance and delegate assignments to other engineering staff.
  
  
• Apply and ensure compliance with company standards, codes, and departmental guides.
  
  
• Support quality assurance efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  
• Review design inputs for accuracy and consistency.
  
  
• Ensure deliverables comply with relevant codes and project-specific standards.
  
  
• Create and develop deliverables from various design inputs.
  
  
• May assist in developing less complex design concepts.
  
  
• Perform computations such as material quantity take-offs and estimates.
  
  
• Coordinate design deliverables across different project groups to reduce errors.

Skills:

• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, SDS, Inventor and/or AutoCAD 3D.
  
  
• Microstation experience would also be preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.
  
  
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
  
  
• 5+ years experience.
