We approach problems with creativity and innovation. The Austin, TX office is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Senior project management, including contract negotiation and risk management
- Fill key personnel role on large and/or complex projects, including design-build transportation projects in Texas and TxDOT on-call contracts
- Senior review of geotechnical engineering analyses and reports
- Review and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports
- Mentor and develop junior geotechnical engineering staff in Texas offices
- Develop business in a seller-doer role in coordination with market pursuit group leaders with a focus on growth in the Texas transportation market
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships for repeat business
- Other tasks as required to support projects and business goals
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year program and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 20+ years of relevant experience, including experience in the Texas transportation market
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas
- TxDOT prequalification in geotechnical engineering categories
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Confidence and independence, with a shared sense of responsibility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management and interpersonal skills
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening
The compensation range for this position is between $165,000 to $200,000. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
