We approach problems with creativity and innovation. The Austin, TX office is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Senior project management, including contract negotiation and risk management
• Fill key personnel role on large and/or complex projects, including design-build transportation projects in Texas and TxDOT on-call contracts
• Senior review of geotechnical engineering analyses and reports
• Review and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports
• Mentor and develop junior geotechnical engineering staff in Texas offices
• Develop business in a seller-doer role in coordination with market pursuit group leaders with a focus on growth in the Texas transportation market
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships for repeat business
• Other tasks as required to support projects and business goals

Required Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year program and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 20+ years of relevant experience, including experience in the Texas transportation market
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas
• TxDOT prequalification in geotechnical engineering categories
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
• Confidence and independence, with a shared sense of responsibility
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective time management and interpersonal skills

• Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment screening

The compensation range for this position is between $165,000 to $200,000. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
