Position Summary
As a Mechanical Engineer in the Defense and Aerospace sector, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing sophisticated mechanical systems, components, and subsystems. Your work will ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of our products while maintaining strict adherence to industry regulations and standards. Youll work alongside cross-functional teams to bring advanced, innovative solutions to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development:
Develop efficient, innovative mechanical designs using CAD toolsSolidWorks experience requiredfor defense and aerospace products and subsystems.
- System Integration:
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems into broader defense/aerospace platforms.
- Performance Analysis:
Perform detailed analyses and simulations, including stress, thermal, fluid dynamics, and vibration studies, to validate and optimize designs.
- Testing & Validation:
Plan and conduct comprehensive testing, including Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT), to ensure system performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Customer Documentation:
Prepare and deliver clear, professional plans, procedures, and reports for customer-facing engagements.
- Manufacturing Support:
Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting design issues, optimizing for manufacturability, and ensuring a smooth production process.
- Research & Continuous Improvement:
Stay abreast of new industry developments, technologies, materials, and methods to enhance system performance and competitiveness.
- Project Coordination:
Partner with project managers to establish requirements, timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring projects stay on track.

Preferred Experience
- Experience with server design and/or printed circuit board (PCB) design is highly desirable.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in mechanical design and development; defense/aerospace industry background preferred. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards is advantageous.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in SolidWorks (required)
- Hands-on experience with ESS and EQT (required)
- Background in creating customer-ready documentation, plans, and procedures
- Familiarity with other engineering/CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, AutoCAD) is a plus
- Analytical & Problem-Solving:
Proven ability to conduct in-depth analysis and provide practical, effective solutions.
- Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communicator and collaborator, adept at working with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail:
Precision and accuracy in design, documentation, and testing activities.
- Adaptability:
Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment with shifting priorities.
