Engineering Technician 4 - Substation
Location: Tualatin, OR (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Technician specializing in substation projects. This role is integral to the success of our client's team, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that drive innovation and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving, contributing to the advancement of engineering practices within the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform advanced engineering tasks with minimal supervision, utilizing electronic applications and document control processes.
Apply knowledge of engineering standards, systems, and codes to ensure project compliance.
Enhance quality and continuous improvement efforts by reviewing design inputs for consistency.
Develop and create project deliverables based on various design inputs and perform related computations.
Coordinate project deliverables with other teams to minimize errors and support field activities.
Share knowledge of the latest technologies and processes, providing guidance to other professionals.
Skills Required:
5+ years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical, SDS, Inventor, and/or AutoCAD 3D.
Experience with Microstation is preferred.
Strong understanding of engineering design and drafting principles.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Proactive in knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Education:
Diploma or Certificate preferred.
Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
