What you will be doing:
- Managing projects through the Locally Administered Process which will include:
- Teaching Locals how to administer a project, walk them through it
- Going on field/scope review in various locations. (roads, bridges, old RR tracks, cross country, buildings, boats)
- Learn more about Environmental and Right of Way
- Preparing legislation and agreements
- Plan Review
- Reviewing Sale and Award documentation
- Attend pre-construction meetings
- Construction review
- Processing invoices
- Project close out
- Learn Ellis and other programs used by ODOT
Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as group or project leader providing work direction & training to engineering technicians &/or lower-level engineers or 12 mos. exp. in conducting engineering related research (i.e., conducting engineering related research only applies to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver's license.
- Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 2, 85642; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver's license.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated registration.
