Job Description Summary

We have an exciting opportunity in the GM&F Commodity with this newly created critical role, Business Continuity Project Manager. This individual will own the E2E project's success of our large China De-Risking effort. This is a highly visible project that was initiated by the SALT. As GMF's spend continues to grow, we'll be looking for this induvial to ensure we have mitigation plans across all our sub-commodities. This role will also lead the charge in creating and executing exit plans, with support of our cross functional partners. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong data analytical skills, project management skills and an ownership mentality to drive results. We this as a great steppingstone to lead a sub-commodity within the Strategy Team.

Job Description

Develop and Implement Business Continuity Plans:

Design and implement comprehensive business continuity plans for the global machining and fabrication strategy organization.

Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the continuity of critical operations.

Project Management:

Lead and manage business continuity projects from initiation to completion.

Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.

Create mechanisms for monitoring and controlling with follow-up actions to drive the project

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure compliance with SALT directives, industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to business continuity.

Train GMF staff on the evolving BCP updates and running rules

Continuous Improvement:

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business continuity plans and make necessary adjustments.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the organization's resilience

Communication and Reporting:

Serve as the primary point of contact for business continuity planning within the organization.

Prepare and present reports on business continuity activities and performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of supply chain, engineering, and/or project management, data analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of global supply chain and sourcing strategies.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.

Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of managing complex projects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Working Conditions:

This position may require occasional travel to various global locations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
