Position Summary:

We are seeking a Process Engineer to design, plan, and optimize manufacturing processes involving material treatments such as hardening, washing, laminating, etching, polishing, plating, painting, and more. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for production efficiency, quality, and operator ergonomics, while balancing technical and economic trade-offs in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and plan process flows and operational layouts for various material-processing operations.

Define the sequence of manufacturing operations and specify detailed production procedures.

Evaluate and optimize processes considering cost, operator comfort, safety, and production goals.

Conduct tests and measurements throughout the production lifecycle to monitor and control critical process variables (e.g., temperature, pressure, viscosity, density).

Provide technical support to production teams and assist in troubleshooting issues related to materials, processes, or equipment.

Recommend and help acquire processing equipment to meet established design and performance requirements.

Support cross-functional teams in improving product quality, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency.

Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and operations to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Adapt machine or equipment designs to suit evolving factory layouts and production constraints.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience, OR

Associate's degree/certificate in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).

Experience in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

Familiarity with production documentation, process planning, and quality control.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of military specifications and compliance requirements.

Experience with MIG and TIG welding processes.

Strong background in electronics and test systems.

Experience with computer networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).

Hands-on knowledge of Windows OS administration and system deployment.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
