Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program .

What Youll Get To Do:
Design of electrical systems in accordance with scope of work.
Review documentation such as but not limited to schematics, diagrams, equipment data sheets, hazard area classification drawings, and electrical analysis or studies developed by other engineers and designers.
Review application of codes and standards for compliance and correct interpretation of Electrical designs.
Participate in the delivery of Electrical design Technical Data Packages (TDP), Issue-for-Construction (IFC) packages, as-built TDPs, PDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts.
Analyze trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issues.
Develop and present design change requests, coordinate with impacted internal and external stakeholders, to ensure configuration control of the technical baseline.
Identify risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors.
Develop and mature Electrical designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations.
Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
Develop customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions that acknowledges technical schedule and cost constraints.
Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules.
Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts, Element Test teams, System Test teams, and other stakeholders to identify test objectives, test requirements, and risks that require test to mitigate
Overseeing test activities in support or requirement verification and validation.
Collaborating and communicating with multi-functional teams and all collaborators.
Providing guidance and mentoring team during project execution.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision, positive demeanor and highest ethics.
Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
Youll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master's degree.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Experience with electrical/power systems, cable/harness, circuit card, controls systems and/or components design.
Knowledgeable of Guidance, Navigation and/or Control Systems
Experience using Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project and Engineering Scheduling tools or applications.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Familiarity with aircraft or space guidance, navigation and control systems
Knowledgeable of using the Mentor Graphics Capital/Xpedition tool or equivalents
Experience using the following tools: ANSYS, MATLAB, or equivalents.
Teamcenter/CPLM experience.
Experience with Agile.
Knowledge of various data transmission formats (eg. Serial, TCP/IP, Fiber etc).
Knowledge of system integration and test principles and processes, including experience with integrated test rack equipment.
Experience with performing functional testing and hardware checkouts.
Experience supporting the development, plan, and execution of test plans and test reporting.
Basic Knowledge of systems engineering principles including requirement decomposition and allocation of requirements.
Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to define test objectives and requirements for test activities in a hardware in the loop lab.
Experience with ICBMs (MM, PK, Small Missile) or DOD programs.
Knowledge/Experience with IBM DOORS database.
Support the generation of test procedures and test readiness reviews (TRRs).
Strong background of test instrumentation.
Creation of test Concept of Operations (ConOps) flows that maximizes the utility of test resources while meeting schedule and technical requirements and/or constraints.
Generate and support test data decomposition and test reports to other IPTs.
Assist in consolidating and processing of final test data for requirements verification/model validation sign-off.
Demonstrating a strong understanding of entire product lifecycle, modeling and engineering best practice.
Experience reviewing engineering specifications, schematics and/or drawings with the ability to translate customer driven requirements into specifications.
