Bishop & Company is searching for a Project Manager / Civil Engineer VI for a great client. This position reports to the Principal and is a great opportunity with a local company. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Hawaii Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Project Manager / Civil Engineer VI to lead and supervise complex civil engineering projects across design, construction, inspection, and operational stages. This role oversees multiple initiatives simultaneously and plays a key part in technical delivery, staff development, client relations, and business growth. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Design Leadership Lead or oversee civil engineering design for site development, drainage, infrastructure, and related systems Conduct engineering studies, technical analyses, and prepare detailed reports Supervise construction, inspection, and maintenance activities for civil projects Project & Business Management Prepare proposals, budgets, and contracts for new projects Monitor financial performance and ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope Contribute to marketing strategy and business development initiatives Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and seek opportunities for expansion Staff Development & Supervision Supervise engineering and technical teams, providing direction, mentorship, and quality control Conduct employee evaluations and promote a collaborative, morale-driven work environment Quality Assurance & Technical Oversight Review inspection reports, plans, and drawings; ensure compliance with engineering standards Analyze survey data, existing infrastructure, and site conditions for accuracy Required Qualifications Technical Skills Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Familiarity with interpreting technical documentation and abstract variables Software & Tools AutoCAD Civil 3D Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Education & Experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution 5-10 years of progressive experience as a licensed civil engineer managing technical projects Licensing Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Hawaii Valid driver's license required Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $125K-$140K. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
