We're seeking an entry level Mechanical Engineer with a passion for HVAC design, hydronic systems, and sustainable building solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who wants to work on large-scale industrial and commercial projects (up to $500 million) for some of the world's most recognized brands.

At Hixson, you'll collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers on multidisciplinary teams, helping to design and deliver cutting-edge mechanical systems. You'll gain hands-on experience, develop technical design expertise, and build a career in a team-oriented, values-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Design HVAC systems for industrial and commercial facilities, including:

Critical process air handling systems

Ductwork layouts, design, and installation details

Hydronic heating and cooling systems (steam/hot water boilers, chillers, cooling towers)

Prepare engineering drawings and technical specifications

Work collaboratively with cross-functional design teams

Engage in problem-solving and technical consulting

Learn and apply energy-efficient design principles and sustainability best practices

Qualifications:

BSME, BSMET, BSAE, or related field required

Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) certification a plus

Exposure to HVAC design, thermal systems, or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Self-motivated with excellent time management and project ownership

Collaborative mindset and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
