You will be the Mechanical Design Engineer Sr for the ASAP Program team. Our team is responsible for designing, building, and testing a demonstration hypervelocity booster assembly.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Mechanical Design Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for creating and editing detailed component and subsystem designs, releasing CREO models following Model-Based Definition practices, and resolving difficult design issues and testing challenges on a tight timeline.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and editing detailed component and subsystem designs and releasing CREO models following Model-Based Definition practices
  • Resolving difficult design issues and testing challenges on a tight timeline
  • Working onsite greater than 50% of the time with long stretches of working onsite full-time
  • Collaborating with the team to achieve challenging goals and deadlines
  • Utilizing ProE CREO experience and knowledge of Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool navigation

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Candidate must have PTC CREO experience and knowledge of Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool navigation.

The candidate must also be proficient with Microsoft Office tools.Prior experience working air vehicle development, fabrication and development testing in lab environments as well as Model Based Design is highly desired.
