Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Core Molding Technologies is hiring an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead the implementation of new technologies and support secondary tooling projects across our operations.

In this role, you'll drive innovation, improve quality, and reduce costs through tooling design, equipment validation, and technical support.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of advanced and alternative manufacturing technologies
• Provide tooling and equipment support across multiple facilities, including rebuilds and replacements
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on design, debug, and validation of secondary tooling
• Approve equipment/tooling designs to ensure capability, robustness, and compliance with standards
• Support new product launches by developing tooling solutions and process improvements
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues using data-driven methods
• Develop and train teams on process understanding and technical best practices
• Ensure safety compliance and protect intellectual property

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
• 10+ years of experience in tooling, process, or manufacturing engineering
• Proficient in GD&T and CAD software
• Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with materials, assembly, and additive/subtractive manufacturing processes

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Travel: Up to 80% (equipment trials, installations, site support)
• Location: Mix of onsite and remote work
• Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs; walk/stand in manufacturing areas
