Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support our MEP backlog of work.
- This role involves starting new projects and assisting with existing workloads, specifically for the VA.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building codes and be capable of leading project engineering design.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design calculations and evaluations specific to building codes.
- Lead project engineering design with knowledge of NYS Building Codes and industry standard design recommendations.
- Design electrical systems from pre-schematic phase through energy modeling analysis and code compliance calculations.
- Conduct opinions of probable costs and life cycle cost analysis.
- Perform field site visits during the design phase to document existing conditions, with mileage reimbursement for travel.
- Provide construction administration support including submittal review, RFI responses, and periodic site visits for compliance and punch listing.
- Work with projects in K-12 and Federal sectors.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Revit.
- EIT or FE certification, or on track to obtain.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to work semi-independently with minimal guidance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PE certification is preferred but not required.
- EIT certification is highly desirable.
Work Environment
- The position is based in the Rochester office with hybrid flexibility.
- Occasional travel is required, and mileage will be reimbursed at the GSA rate.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.88/hr.
