None/Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is one of the leading manufacturers of Carbon-Carbon aircraft brakes in the world. As a Senior Process Engineer , you will join a team responsible for the design, optimization, and troubleshooting of chemical vapor deposition reactors and equipment (pumps, blowers, valves, instruments, boilers, cooling water systems etc.) used to make Carbon-Carbon composite brakes for commercial, regional, and military aircraft.
This position will require a mix of hands-on, data analysis, and control system functionality skills to successfully drive solutions to a wide variety of operational challenges. A successful candidate will have a strong sense of initiative, good communication skills, and ability to work with all disciplines. In this role, you will also periodically supervise and train operations personnel in safe operating procedures and best practices.
This position will work onsite in Spokane, WA. Relocation assistance will be provided.
What You Will Do:
- Act as a subject matter expert on the CVD equipment and process to support Operations personnel
- Provides technical recommendations and solutions to a wide variety of process and equipment problems, while working collaboratively across departments
- Leads cross-functional teams to integrate the activities of multiple engineering disciplines, mechanics, and operators.
- Interface with the distributive control system to learn process control fundamentals, and support advancement in department controls systems.
- Ensure standard operating procedures are thorough, accurate, effective, and up to date.
- Actively monitor key performance indicators to identify potential process and equipment anomalies.
- Take an active role in meeting department and site lean manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain a high commitment to quality, thoroughness, and efficiency in all work aspects
- Observe and follow all quality, environmental, health and safety procedures.
- Comply with all other Collins Aerospace policies and procedures.
Must Have Qualifications:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Manufacturing or chemical/material industry experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
- BS or MS in Engineering (Chemical Engineering highly preferred)
- Chemical plant engineering experience
- Experience working with Distributed Control Systems is a plus; knowledge of process control basics and chemical processing unit operations is a plus
- Understanding of process safety practices in a chemical industrial environment

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
