Project Manager

A Project Manager is needed for a utility holding company in the Welch, MN area. This role is for an experienced project manager to oversee complex, high-risk projects from start to finish, managing budgets and schedules while coordinating with various stakeholders, with a strong preference for a candidate with a nuclear engineering background.

responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of a project from initiation to completion, including creating work plans, managing scope, and minimizing risk.
  
  
• Solidify long-term project plans and enhance cost estimates.
  
  
• Interface with various internal and external groups, including the maintenance and engineering departments, and present to stakeholders to gain approvals.
  
  
• Manage project budgets, monitor financials, and handle capital work and asset depreciation.
  
  
• Source vendors, initiate and manage contracts.
  
  
• Conduct weekly meetings, coordinate tasks, and perform field/plant observations.
  
  
• Adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget, and escalate any concerns.

Skills: Experience with software such as SAP, Unifier, UKG Workday, MS Project, and P6/Primavera is helpful.

Education and Experience:

• A degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferred, as is a background in civil or construction. ABET accreditation is desirable.
  
  
• 5-7 years of cradle-to-grave project management experience.
