Nobis is looking for a Project Manager in our Environmental Engineering group based in Concord, New Hampshire. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience and a desire to join our remarkable team of forward thinking committed partners.
What Youll Do
- Participate in initial client marketing meetings and provide marketing support, including presentations. Participate in the negotiation process and formulate the proposal.
- Maintain understanding of project financial issues including project budget, effective and as sold multipliers, terms of agreement, scope changes, billing process, and settlements. Schedule and record all meetings and ensure follow-up on decisions.
- Issue start and stop orders to team members as needed. Initiate or modify project procedures as required and discuss deviations from Nobis policies with the appropriate senior management prior to taking any action.
- Establish project goals that are consistent with contract agreements, project fee arrangements, and project schedule requirements.
- Determine team staffing requirements and work with management to obtain staffing. Delegate authority and responsibility as needed.
- Monitor progress and act timely when team performance deviates from established plan to ensure compliance with contractual arrangements.
- Ensure project files and reporting are current and maintained. Monitor product quality, design, and technology to ensure consistency with contractual arrangements, and implement the firms policies that have an impact on team activities.
- Make final decisions on team technical performance consistent with contract requirements and company procedures and policies. Know when to call upon other Nobis resources for issues beyond their area of competence.
- A Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related science or engineering degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Its a plus to have a Masters degree.
- A minimum of 5 years related experience is required, including at least 2 years of project management experience in soil and groundwater remediation, remedial alternatives evaluations, and multimedia site investigations. A minimum of 8 years of related experience is preferred.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification and current 8-hour refresher.
- Licensure as a New Hampshire Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) is strongly preferred.
- Must have OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual 8-hour refresher, as applicable.
- Must possess as valid driver's license, have own transportation, and be able to travel for project site visits, meetings, data collection, and training. Travel is highly dependent on project work requirements and may be extensive at times.
- Should be knowledgeable in NH petroleum storage tank and contaminated site management regulations (Env-Or 300, 400, and 600), CERCLA or RCRA hazardous waste site investigation and remediation, remedial implementation, and oversight, SAPs/SASPs/QAPPs and other planning documents, and environmental compliance. Prior experience with the NH Petroleum Reimbursement Fund and associated procedures is preferred.
- Must have experience in multimedia investigation and remediation, remedial alternatives evaluations, and remedial action implementation.
- Proficiency in environmental impact assessments, feasibility studies, and regulatory compliance.
- Nobis uses Deltek enterprise software. Knowledge of Deltek accounting/enterprise software and other software environments such as GIS and graphics generation is beneficial.
