What You Will Do

  • Drive project teams to deliver maintenance and engineering projects on budget and schedule, from detailed design and construction to operational turnover, optimizing equipment performance and uptime.
  • Design, evaluate, and innovate mechanical systems using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other design tools to improve safety and enhance product technology.
  • Perform mechanical design, validation, and troubleshooting of fixed and rotating equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, and process piping, ensuring efficient operation and reliability.
  • Develop and implement reliability-based maintenance programs, leveraging precision tools such as vibration analysis and ultrasound diagnostics to improve equipment reliability.
  • Lead and support initiatives focused on enhancing productivity, yield, quality, and cost efficiency while identifying and implementing process and system improvements.
  • Focus on machine functional safety by applying safety risk reduction standards to designs, validating safety systems in operation, and overseeing compliance inspections of equipment, infrastructure, and utilities.
  • Build relationships across teams to share expertise, implement standardized solutions, and support training efforts for operations and maintenance teams.
  • Maintain critical equipment documentation in SAP CMMS, ensuring accessibility and accuracy for reliability-based programs and maintenance tracking.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.
  • Experience with fixed and rotating equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, and process piping.
  • Knowledge of reliability-based maintenance practices and precision maintenance techniques.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelors degree or higher in engineering
  • Pulp & Paper industry experience.
  • Project Engineering Experience
  • Vibration Analysis or ultrasound diagnostic experience.
  • Structural engineering experience.
  • Utilities experience.

For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000 - $115,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
