Civil Quality Assurance (CQA) Technician
Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Civil Quality Assurance (CQA) Technicians to join our team. As a CQA Technician, you will travel to various landfill sites to document daily activities and verify the accuracy of the work performed by general contractors. Your role will include preparing daily reports and attending meetings to ensure compliance with project specifications and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities, including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners.
  • Provide on-site training as necessary.
  • Ensure overall compliance with project specifications and construction drawings.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
  • Travel for assignments with expenses covered, working 6-7 days per week with anticipated overtime during construction season.
Essential Skills
  • Familiarity with construction specifications.
  • Ability to write daily and weekly reports.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel and be away from home for extended periods.
  • Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Nuclear Gauge/density certification.
  • Landfill construction experience.
  • Associate degree.
  • ACI Certification.
Work Environment

This position requires working outdoors at various landfill locations, where candidates must endure varying weather conditions from very hot summers to very cold winters. Workdays typically range from 8-10 hours, and most of the work involves standing. Travel is predominantly in Kentucky with some assignments in bordering states, and sites are usually regional.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
