Job Description

Join the KPFF Lacey team as an experienced Project Surveyor where you'll lead a variety of challenging and rewarding survey projects from concept through completion. In this role, you'll be working mostly in the office to provide technical and drafting support on various types of survey projects. Position may include occasional field work.

Qualifications

Minimum of ten years of experience in surveying including five years proven expertise in project management

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Valid Driver's License

Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and industry-standard survey software

Strong client management skills, with excellent communication and organizational abilities

Willingness to work on a variety of project types

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues

Time management to ensure commitments and schedules are met

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Primarily office-based with occasional field visits as needed to support project requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer, handling tasks involving detailed data analysis and project documentation

Occasional travel to project sites or client meetings, which may require navigating uneven terrain and working in various weather conditions

Capability to lift and carry light equipment or documents, typically up to 20 pounds, for project-related needs
