Associate Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:
Design the architectural layout, develop, and modify transformer mechanical products by applying advanced engineeringprinciples;
Review technical specifications and data to create accurate mechanical layouts, utilizing knowledge of mechanical parts andcomputer-aided design (CAD) software;
Prepare preliminary mechanical designs and estimate the material and component costs for main tanks and accessories insupport of project proposals;
Use engineering software to plan and develop models, including testing and modifying models under different environmentalconditions such as temperature and humidity;
Develop detailed models, source appropriate materials and components, present preliminary models to senior engineers forreview, and finalize approved designs for production;
Register and maintain design outputs, including drawings, documents, and models, in Systems, Applications, and Products inData Processing (SAP) and other enterprise design systems within required deadlines;
Collaborate with drafting teams to prepare and review detailed mechanical drawings for transformers and relatedcomponents;
Request quotations from suppliers for transformer components, ensuring accurate cost and delivery schedules based ondesign specifications;
Propose and implement cost-reduction ideas, tracking execution and results across projects;
Support and recommend improvements to company policies and engineering procedures;
Promote the goals and professional image of Hyosung HICO through effective communication and collaboration with internaldivisions and external vendors; and
Ensure compliance with Hyosung HICOs Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies, and effectively communicate theirimportance in the engineering design process.

Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study;
0~4 years of experience in engineering, or equivalent education and experience;
Developed analytical skills;
Strong computer skills, knowledge of MS Office products, CAD, and engineering analysis related programs such as finiteelement analysis;
Ability to operate standard office equipment, such as personal computer, photocopier, and fax machine;
Ability to travel domestic and international up to 20f the time;
Ability to read, understand and create technical drawings and materials;
Ability to analyze data accurately and effectively;
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with others to complete work.
