Job Title: Senior Project ManagerJob Description
We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Senior Hardware Project Manager to support our Systems Integration & Test (SEIT) team as we scale the development, integration, and validation of next-generation humanoid robots. In this role, you will lead the management of our engineering test fleet and the end-to-end test request pipeline. By leveraging your expertise in project management, agile planning, and JIRA tools, you will ensure fleet operational readiness, coordinate cross-functional test activities, and align efforts across hardware, software, and systems engineering teams. This position is critical to enabling execution-owning test deliverables, driving issue resolution, and developing fleet performance metrics that inform leadership and support data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
Own and manage the JIRA-based test request intake process, ensuring requests are triaged, prioritized, and assigned in alignment with program milestones and team resourcing.
Drive coordination between requestors and SEIT to ensure clear scope and dependencies are captured early.
Oversee the engineering fleet of humanoid robots, including hardware/software configuration tracking, allocation planning, maintenance, and repair coordination.
Track and report on operational readiness, usage patterns, and open issues/blockers affecting robot performance.
Monitor and drive resolution of failures, retrofits, and repair cycles in close coordination with test, software, hardware, and reliability engineering.
Define and track key fleet metrics including uptime, usage rates, failure modes, and maintenance cycles.
Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clear visibility into fleet status, test execution progress, and team throughput.
Lead JIRA scrum board maintenance, sprint planning, and retrospectives for the Systems Integration & Test team.
Partner with test engineers and technical program managers to align sprint goals with broader engineering milestones.
Serve as a key point of contact for day-to-day support of engineering leadership, helping to manage escalations, track action items, and coordinate across teams to remove roadblocks.
Identify gaps in process or tooling and implement improvements to optimize team effectiveness.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in hardware project or program management within robotics, hardware integration, or similar technical fields.
Proven ability to manage hardware/software system configuration, fleet operations, or test asset management at scale.
Deep expertise in JIRA including workflow customization, dashboard creation, and sprint planning.
Strong analytical and organizational skills; comfort with using data to drive decisions and communicate status.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; capable of interfacing with cross-functional teams and technical leaders.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in humanoid robotics, autonomous systems, or complex mechatronic system development.
Familiarity with hardware failure analysis, diagnostic workflows, or V& V processes.
Experience building automated dashboards using tools like Confluence, JIRA, Sheets, or custom scripts.
PMP certification.
Experience in industries like EV, AV, robotics, or other electro-mechanical fields with a heavy software focus.
Experience managing testing or upgrading electro-mechanical assets at scale.
