Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer . This position will be located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program.

What Youll Get To Do:
Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms that are verified through test/analysis
Develop CAD models visualizing various design solutions
Deliver required PDPs on time to meet program objectives
Identify gaps within a design and/or requirements and provide a resolution that is cost effective, innovative, and has minimal impact to others
Ensure the developed PDPs meet the design requirements from the various element/configured item specifications
Will integrate delivered LRUs under direction of the technical lead.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday of
Youll Bring These Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and with 5 years of experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; PhD with 1 years of experience.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience performing CAD modeling with design tools such as Siemens NX or similar
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Experience performing mechanical design efforts on MILCON, major infrastructure/building projects, or Aerospace and Defense programs.
Ability to understand and interpret requirements

Must be able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction
Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts
Exposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsion
Proficient with 3D design/2D drawing CAD in NX
Proficient with PDM and/or CPLM
Proficient with GD&T and ASME Y14.5-2009
