What's the Job?
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive Serviceability (Design for Serviceability). Evaluate part and assembly design, from concept to design to manufacturing introduction for hand clearance, tooling clearance, ergonomics, and feasibility of replacement of all components. Develop service part release strategy and maintain the Service BOM for spare parts planning. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on the build of new product iterations. Support specialized tooling design, development, and validation that is used by the field team. What's Needed?
Demonstrated successful experience in mechanical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment. Experience designing and developing products through the lifecycle. Ability to design for a wide range of fabrication and manufacturing processes. Tooling and/or equipment design experience.
