Job Description

In this high-impact role, you will have significant visibility within the organization as you contribute to the design, development, and productization of cutting-edge enterprise mobile computers.

You will lead and collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams across the globe, including internal engineering groups, Joint Development Manufacturers (JDMs), Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), and strategic partners, to bring ground breaking products from initial concept through to commercialization. It's a unique opportunity to lead and influence projects with direct impact to global asset visibility and tracking.

Establishes requirements for highly complex electrical design projects and may lead a team responsible for establishing requirements.

Architects and designs highly complex electrical projects. Completes all phases of the projects. Follows through on all in-process and final inspection activities.

Represent the organization as the principal customer contact and often performs project leadership

Experience with embedded Microprocessors, memory systems, analog circuits, schematic capture.

Schematic capture, high density board layout and bring up experience.

Proficiency in CAD tools (i.e. Cadence Allegro, etc.), oscilloscope, bench power supplies, DMM, etc.

Experience with Digital and Analog Circuit Design theory.

Knowledge and experience in designing battery management systems and DC-DC power Supplies.

Experience with lithium-ion battery design, gas gauging, charging, cell and battery management are all strongly preferred Internal Use Only .

Experience with computer/smartphone chipsets such as Qualcomm, TI, Client, etc.

EMC best practices and regulatory troubleshooting experience, such as ESD and EMI.

Knowledge and experience with common embedded communication protocols such as, DDR, USB, I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI, RS232, etc. is strongly preferred.

High volume product development experience and design for manufacturing and reliability is highly preferred.

Knowledge of embedded software is a plus.
