Working with SLB New Energy you will be responsible for process design and implementation from concept through commercial operations for the development of sustainable energy. We are looking for a talented and driven engineer to develop and advance laboratory technology through maturation and derisking phases into commercial operation.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate process technology against customer needs and constraints. Conceive and/or develop a process flow most suitable for the combination.

  • Design equipment and/or technologies to match the specifications required to help customers maximize profitability and sustainability.

  • Collaborate with partners on technology risk and technoeconomic assessments.

  • Convey and document your work in presentations, reports, block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, heat and material balance, etc.

  • Direct and review the process related work of internal and external engineering teams producing detailed deliverables for FEL1 3.

  • Provide input to related research projects as well as software and workflow development projects.

  • Perform complex process simulations utilizing business-defined software.

  • Perform equipment process design and sizing.

  • Perform Peer Reviews of team design work including proposals, cost estimates, deliverables, and fabrication drawings.

  • Provide process technical support for troubleshooting.

  • Perform on site start-up and/or troubleshooting, when needed.

  • Maintain and develop own competency through training and adequate experience.

  • Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as defined in the risk control matrix.

10+ years of Experience in Process Engineering relevant to the following applications is required:

  • Carbon Capture

  • Carbon Storage

  • Geothermal Energy

  • Chemical and/or Petrochemical Synthesis

  • Critical Minerals Extraction

  • Critical Minerals Processing and Refining

Masters or PhD in Chemical Engineering

Some travel required

Based in Sugar Land, TX

10+ years of Experience in Process Engineering relevant to the following applications is required:

  • Carbon Capture

  • Carbon Storage

  • Geothermal Energy

  • Chemical and/or Petrochemical Synthesis

  • Critical Minerals Extraction

  • Critical Minerals Processing and Refining
