As a Design Engineer for Electromagnetics and electric machine design and development, you will lead the charge in advancing hybrid electric technologies, collaborating globally with industry and academic partners. Your work will directly impact GE Aerospace's hybrid electric capabilities supporting next gen aerospace propulsion programs.

Job Description

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering.

Experience in engineering and science.

Experience in electric machine electromagnetic design, preferably in hybrid electric systems.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Ideal Candidate: A strategic thinker with expertise in electric machine design, electromagnetic analysis, hybrid electric systems, and aerospace power generation, who excels in problem-solving, project management, and collaboration.

Desired Characteristics

M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering.

Experience in aerospace power generation and conversion products.

Proficiency in 2D/3D electromagnetic finite element analysis (ANSYS preferred).

Strong background in transient/dynamic electric system theory and analysis.

Experience in EMI and EMC of electric propulsion systems.

Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and/or Python.

Experience in prototyping and testing electric machines.

Familiarity with CAD tools and high voltage electrical insulation.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Project management experience.

The base pay range for this position is $78,000 to $115,000 annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 08/31/2025.
