Technical Project Engineer - Protection & Control (P&C), Substation, and Metering Engineering/Metering Project Manager Power & Renewables

VDart Group is seeking a Technical Project Engineer Metering Systems to support our client s Engineering & Construction (E&C) division . This role will oversee metering systems for renewable development, design, and construction projects , ensuring all metering activities align with technical requirements and commercial agreements.

The position covers the full project lifecycle from concept development to construction and commissioning and requires close collaboration with engineering, development, business management, transmission services, and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical metering expertise with project management skills , have experience managing third-party engineering partners, and demonstrate excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
• 3+ years of relevant Protection & Control, Substation, or Metering Engineering experience.
• 3 5 years of hands-on metering experience including:
• Reading and interpreting protection & control drawings.
• Understanding CTs, PTs, CVTs, and transformer loss compensation methods.
• Familiarity with advanced metering technologies, especially Schneider Electric ION-8650 and SEL-735 .
• Experience with meter programming, template creation, and communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, MV90).
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.

• Oversee and manage metering requirements across renewable projects from development through commissioning.
• Interpret, organize, and implement customer, commercial, and internal metering requirements.
• Lead cross-functional coordination for technical metering documents and design integration.
• Provide engineering, design, and development support for substation and metering systems.
• Track project schedules, budgets, contractual execution, and design progress.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and industry best practices.
• Review and oversee the work of external Metering Engineers of Record (EORs).
• Support stakeholder communications through reports, presentations, and meetings.
• Research and recommend metering system improvements and optimization measures.
