Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will engage in designing utility-scale components and performing structural analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects across the Utility, Industrial, and Renewables divisions, including the adaptation of legacy mining products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis and design utility-scale components using 3D CAD software.
- Perform 2D drafting and revise drawings based on real-time feedback from shop employees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including shop employees and engineers, to ensure proper fit and form of designs.
- Support various divisions, including Utility, Industrial, and Renewables, with a focus on legacy mining product adaptations.
- Assist in transitioning to modular substation designs and developing emergency mobile substations.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in mechanical design or structural analysis.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with specific experience in Inventor being preferred.
- Experience with FEA analysis and 3D design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with snow and wind structural studies.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to collaborate with manufacturing teams.
Work Environment
This position is based on-site, five days a week. The typical work schedule is from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to create your own schedule as long as you complete an 8-hour workday. The work environment supports a rapidly growing Utility, Industrial, and Renewables business.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaver, West Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
