A Manufacturing Project Engineer, with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science is needed for a leading manufacturing organization The Manufacturing Project Engineer is responsible to manage area project schedules for new material trials, new model paint trials, and cost reduction and material performance improvements. This role will support the paint department by independently managing the development and implementation of new materials, colors, and technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in an engineering field, preferably Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Scienceand at least two years of project management experience working across multiple functions. This is a long-term contract opportunity, and our client is only seeking local talent at this time.

  • Lead planning, evaluations, and implementations for new colors and materials

  • Conduct lab workability and on-line testing for new materials

  • Establish process controls and parameters for new materials and technologies

  • Lead material-related problem-solving efforts across multiple divisions

  • Assess the environmental and cost impact of new materials and technologies

  • Work in cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
