This Position reports to:

Head of Project Execution, Packaging

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will Manage multiple medium- to large-scale, moderately complex industrial variable speed drive projects, ensuring compliance with ABB policies, contracts, quality, HSE standards, financial goals, and timelines.

This role is contributing to the Motion High Power Division in New Berlin, WI area.

You will be mainly accountable to:

  • Take commercial and technical responsibility for your projects and manage effectively by structuring, planning, budgeting, and execution from delivery until end of warranty

  • Ensure that all contractual requirements are met

  • Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow. Identifies, qualifies, quantifies, and manages project risks, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Captures, analyzes, and shares lessons learned throughout the project. Ensures that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.

  • Acts as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.

  • Ensure that Health & Safety and Quality standards are met, which will also include setting up Health & Safety plans

  • Monitor projects and execute regular reporting (project reviews)

  • Contribute to internal improvement projects and ensure they are implemented in accordance with Lean Six Sigma methodology

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Engineering, Electrical engineering preferred

  • 8 years of experience in Project Management of industrial projects

  • Proficiency in use of ERP system, experience in SAP PS module preferred

  • Commissioning site experience preferred

  • Knowledge of low and/or medium voltage AC Drives, transformers, switchgear, e-house

  • Structured and Process orientated (processes, tools, dashboard)

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Willing to travel (20-30%)

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
