The Position The Senior Project Manager is responsible for optimizing and improving operations by aligning people and processes to support the Marketing Departments strategic goals, campaigns, and initiatives. This includes ensuring accurate and updated processes and RACIs across all channels , optimizing our project management platform Wrike, and working across the department to identify efficiencies to support marketing and fundraising channels including email, digital advertising, social media, and offline channels. The Senior Project Manager is a skilled project manager who can support cross-departmental or agency-wide projects , campaigns , and initiatives as needed. T his position also plays a key role in managing strategy and campaign development for the department, and ensuring timely , smooth , and on time and on budget projects. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will support with coordination during emergency response moment s when more than one fundraising channel is activated. This includes coordinating response and fundraising reporting for leadership and the Board, shar ing approved assets, and conven ing regular coordination calls , as well as after action reports . Essential Job Responsibilities STRATEGY & PLANNING
  • Works collaboratively with the teams leadership, channel managers, and content creators to oversee implementation of strategies o utlined in the Mar keting annual plan.
  • Partners with Marketing leaders to plan and manage key cross-team initiatives and campaigns.
  • Directly support s achieving overall annual revenue and fundraising goals.
  • Manage cross-channel campaigns, partnering with colleagues on campaign strategy development and targeting.
  • Manage close-out process for campaigns, including final documentation of strategy and tactics, as well as after action reviews as needed.
  • P rioritiz es and organiz es projects and resources to achieve objectives and contribute to marketing strategy development.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Oversee project management processes and RACIs within the Mar keting team.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, project managers and Wrike account reps to establish , document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures on how Wrike is used and how it interacts with the team.
  • Support emergency response activations by organizing approved assets and messaging, convening coordination calls, and ensuring alignment across Development and Mar keting teams.
  • Develop processes to establish and optimize platform governance and maintenance.
  • Implement Wrike solutions that achieve management level alignment on goals related to the organizational strategy and fundraising goals .
  • Serve as project manager for strategic projects, key campaigns and initiatives across Marketing .
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and executed with excellence.

Supervisory Responsibility N/A Accountability Reports Directly To: Senior Director of Operations & Platforms Works Directly With: Marketing Leadership, Channel Managers , and the Creative Team Accountability to Participants and Stakeholders Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program participants, community partners, other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding international relief and development work. We are committed to actively engaging communities as equal partners in the design, monitoring and evaluation of our field projects. Minimum Qualifications & Transferable Skills
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, business or a related field and 5 + years of project management experience required .
  • Experience in a large, fast-paced marketing and fundraising team .
  • System administration experience with Wrike, or similar project management platform, strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with different project management methodologies including agile and waterfall.
  • Experience managing complex cross-team projects, including budgets and timelines, required .
  • Strong desire to help others, remove blockers, and improve efficiency .
  • Excellent leadership, communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Natural problem solver who thrives in an evolving environment.
  • Experience managing creative , fundraising, and brand marketing processes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Has demonstrated strong personal organizational skills, time management and attention to detail.
  • Experience convening working groups from multiple disciplines or departments and leading the team to achieve project success.
  • Working knowledge of multiple creative and fundraising disciplines as well as brand strategy, brand design and content creation required .

This person will have the ability to understand the larger picture while remaining focused on the details and be a versatile multi-tasker with the proven ability to organize and prioritize urgent tasks, follow procedures and meet deadlines. They will have a strong commitment to teamwork and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team members of varied work styles. They will have demonstrated initiative, flexibility and creativity in planning and problem solving . Finally, this person must ha ve an awareness and sensitivity to multicultural international development work. Living Conditions / Environmental Conditions Offices are in Portland, OR or Washington, District of Columbia. The position can also be remote. It may require some travel, up to 10%, to countries with limited or no medical facilities and amenities. Mercy Corps team members represent the agency both during and outside work hours when deployed in a field posting or on a visit/TDY to a field posting.
