Job Description This role will focus on creating, redlining, and improving electrical drawings, developing manufacturing work instructions, and maintaining documentation for electrical harnesses, cabinets, and systems. While the primary emphasis is on documentation, quality control, and manufacturing support, the individual should also possess the ability to design electrical systems as needed. Responsibilities
- Create new electrical drawings and schematics.
- Redline and update existing electrical drawings to improve accuracy and clarity.
- Develop manufacturing work instructions for electrical harnesses, electrical cabinets, and integrated electrical systems.
- Generate and maintain Electrical Engineering Change Order (ECO) documentation.
- Update and maintain Bills of Materials (BoMs) for electrical assemblies.
- Perform quality control inspections of manufactured electrical systems to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve wiring, harness, or cabinet issues.
- Provide design input for new electrical systems when needed, including component selection and layout.
- Ensure all documentation meets internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design, drafting, or manufacturing support.
- Proficiency in electrical CAD tools, such as AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience creating and revising manufacturing work instructions.
- Understanding of electrical harness fabrication, cabinet assembly, and system integration.
- Knowledge of Electrical ECO processes and BoM management.
- Ability to perform quality control inspections and troubleshoot electrical assemblies.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience in industrial automation, robotics, or large-scale machinery.
- Experience with Controls (TwinCAT).
- Experience with PLM or ERP systems for managing documentation and BoMs.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional team environments.
