We re searching for a hands-on, tech-savvy Field Service Engineer based in the Columbus, OH area to support critical data center deployments. This is a remote-first position with local travel (~30%) to customer sites for installations, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Salary Range: $90,000 $100,000 (with potential up to $120K+ w/ OT & bonuses)

What You ll Do:

  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain our liquid-cooled load bank systems at customer locations.
  • Work with mechanical and electrical components (including 460V systems), PLC/HMI controls, and perform firmware/software updates.
  • Diagnose issues and implement on-site repairs with precision.
  • Train customers on safe operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Act as a trusted technical expert, ensuring high customer satisfaction and system performance.
  • Complete service reports, issue logs, and maintenance documentation.
  • Share insights with engineering and product teams to improve design, usability, and supportability.
  • Work closely with the Director of Product Engineering and other engineers to continuously enhance product performance.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and field insights to support better service delivery.

What You ll Bring

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • 2+ years in field service or technical roles, ideally in data centers, critical infrastructure, or power systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems (460V).
  • Familiarity with PLC/HMI systems and software/firmware diagnostics.
  • Experience with or interest in liquid-cooled systems is a big plus.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field.
  • Valid driver s license and ability to travel ~30% (may increase based on project needs).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally work after-hours/weekends as needed.
