We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team to provide technical and operational leadership in the Aviation and Ground Missile Systems program office for platform integration, systems engineering, and project execution.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical/operational leadership of a project/mission within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer
- Serve as the project engineering lead
- Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support integration of AGMS weapon and launcher systems onto U.S. and Foreign Military platforms.
- Provide technical direction and manage tasking for a small group of engineers.
- Define, review, and refine project and systems engineering requirements.
- Coordinate with leadership, program offices, contractors, and DoD stakeholders on integration, test, and fielding activities.
- Oversee schedules, budgets, and scope for missile systems integration and test efforts.
- Support planning, budget development, and risk management for ongoing projects.
- Conduct performance and project analyses to inform future programs and engineering efforts.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2 years of project engineering experience with a minimum of 7 years engineering or related experience.
- Active DoD secret clearance is required.
- Proven ability to manage scope, schedules, budgets, and engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of systems integration, testing, and verification processes.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with government and industry stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Program Management.
- Experience with aviation and ground missile systems, launchers, and related test equipment.
- Familiarity with DoD program offices, FMS processes, and test facilities.
- Advanced project management or systems engineering certification (e.g., Advanced Engineering and Technical Management Certifications)
