Responsible for process design, simulation, and safety analysis for chemical engineering projects.
Requirements:
BS degree in Chemical Engineering
Experience with BFD, PFD, HMB, and P&ID development
Proficiency with process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, COMSOL, ChemCAD, or PRO/II)
Equipment sizing and design experience
PSV sizing and flare system design knowledge per API standards
Experience developing design basis and control narrative documents
HAZOP and HAZID experience
FE/PE certification a plus
Responsibilities:
Develop and review process flow diagrams, heat and mass balances, and piping & instrumentation diagrams
Perform process simulations and analyze system performance using industry-standard tools
Size and design process equipment to meet project specifications
Conduct PSV sizing and flare system design in compliance with API standards
Prepare design basis documents and detailed control narratives
Participate in HAZOP and HAZID reviews and provide technical input
Support process safety and regulatory compliance throughout design lifecycle
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with advanced process modeling techniques
Experience preparing technical documentation and engineering deliverables
Knowledge of chemical process safety standards and best practices
Pay Details: $41.00 to $55.00 per hour
