Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical Engineer opportunity in West Milton, NY.
Our company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team as part of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) project, which is a multi-site organization engaged in the design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training simulators.
The successful candidate will:
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers across multiple locations
Review and disposition Supplier design submittals to validate designs based on technical requirements
Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are satisfied
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
Active or recently active DOE L or Q, or DOD Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Prior experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software
Prior experience supporting design reviews and technical interchanges with Suppliers
Ability to review, understand, and apply relevant engineering codes and standards (e.g. ASME)
Prior experience with Design for Manufacturability
Prior experience with Model Based Design
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to think creatively and make recommendations to senior project personnel
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $80,000 to $150,000 annually.
