About the Role
Our Client is seeking a Cost Project Manager to join the Corporate Project Management Office (PMO). This contract position will play a vital role in supporting project execution teams with cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated to develop strong cost management skills in a dynamic project environment.
What You'll Do
Budget Development & Management: Assist in translating project estimates into structured budgets; maintain documentation and track costs.
Commitment Execution: Support purchase orders, contracts, and agreements; monitor expenditures against commitments.
Change Management: Help evaluate cost impacts of change orders and ensure proper documentation/approvals.
Forecasting & EAC Management: Contribute to cost forecasting and calculation of Estimate at Completion (EAC).
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare cost reports and dashboards; analyze cost trends and highlight risks.
Collaboration & Support: Partner with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams; assist with audits and compliance checks.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 2-5 years in cost control, project management, or related roles.
Skills & Knowledge:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Primavera, Procore, or similar tools preferred.
Basic understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and change management.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts is a plus.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
Work Environment
Hybrid (office/home) with occasional site travel (5-10%).
Standard schedule: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
