Mechanical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role requires collaboration with project managers to ensure the successful execution of projects, focusing on the complete and precise engineering design. The candidate will apply their engineering expertise to equipment design, problem-solving, and quality improvement, involving project drawings and bill of materials. Responsibilities include sizing and selecting components for liquid fuels, using SolidWorks to create 3D models and fabrication drawings, and generating fabrication BOMs using ERP systems. You will also assist field service engineers in fuel oil equipment startups and contribute to the improvement of existing manufactured products and manufacturing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers for project execution.
  • Ensure complete and accurate project engineering design.
  • Apply engineering expertise to equipment design and problem-solving.
  • Create project drawings and bill of materials.
  • Size and select components for liquid fuels.
  • Utilize SolidWorks to create 3D models and fabrication drawings.
  • Generate fabrication BOMs using ERP systems.
  • Assist field service engineers in fuel oil equipment startups.
  • Improve existing manufactured products and manufacturing techniques.

Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (parts, sheet-metal, assemblies, and drawings).
  • Experience with DraftSight, AutoCAD, or similar for 2D drawings.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Design knowledge of fuel oil handling and piping systems preferred.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently with multiple engineering disciplines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
