Job Description:
Overview:
Leads the design and coordination of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pumping stations, storage tanks, and treatment facilities. Works independently and collaboratively to execute technical designs, manage permitting, and support construction services.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design of water and wastewater systems including distribution, collection, and pumping facilities
Develop engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
Conduct hydraulic modeling and evaluate system performance
Prepare and submit permitting documents; address agency comments
Collaborate with internal teams and subconsultants to meet project goals
Maintain technical documentation including reports, plans, and logs
Support client presentations and technical discussions
Mentor junior engineers and design staff
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and quality standards
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Minimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerCAD) preferred
Effective communication and time management skills
Strong analytical and organizational abilities
Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary settings
Dependable and adaptable to project demands
Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed
