Cape Cod Community Food Project Coordinator 2026
Helping Our Women (HOW) educates, empowers and supports women diagnosed with chronic, disabling and/or life-threatening illnesses. Direct services provided by HOW include; transportation for women to medical appointments, programs to promote wellness and social engagement, advocacy and referrals for services and an in-house Food and Personal care Pantry. Food insecurity is a social determinant of health and plays a critical role in a person's ability to become and stay healthy. Individuals and families who lack consistent access to enough healthy food may have a higher risk of developing chronic diseases like obesity, hypertension and diabetes. Member Duties : The VISTA position will help to address the immediate needs and root cause of food insecurity in our service area. They will work to develop and expand the capacity of a Community Food Project to increase access to nutritious foods for our clients and community members. This will be accomplished through organizing, communication and marketing, volunteer engagement and development.
