A well-established engineering consulting firm in North New Jersey is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer to join its growing transportation team. Key Responsibilities

• Design roadway and highway projects including alignments, profiles, grading, and drainage
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Perform traffic and safety analyses to support design decisions
• Coordinate with project managers, municipalities, and state agencies
• Ensure compliance with local, county, and state standards
• Support permitting and utility coordination efforts
• Assist with construction support services as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of transportation or roadway design experience
• EIT required; PE preferred (or on track)
• Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with roadway design standards and DOT guidelines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
