What Youll Do
As a Senior Engineer at Toole Design, youll lead creative solutions for complex transportation challenges, guiding multimodal and Complete Streets projects from concept through construction, from urban roadway reconstructions and streetscapes to regional trail projects. As an experienced Project Manager, youll mentor an interdisciplinary team while overseeing feasibility studies, final design plans, and construction documents, all while managing scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships across the Northeast. Youll support business development efforts and collaborate with a close-knit team passionate about delivering high-quality work that makes communities safer and more livable.

We are targeting a salary range of $130,000 to $160,000 for this position.

RequirementsPE license (Massachusetts or Rhode Island preferred)
BS or MS in Civil Engineering or related field
10+ years of experience developing preliminary/final design plans, specifications, estimates, or engineering studies
3+ years managing and delivering public-sector projects
Familiarity with MassDOT, RIDOT, and/or MaineDOT, AASHTO, NACTO, MUTCD, and related standards
Experience delivering projects with public agencies and transportation permitting
Interest in Complete Streets, bicycle, and pedestrian facility design
It would be a plus if you have any of the following:
Proficiency in one or more of the following: AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, InRoads, Synchro, Highway Capacity Software, SIDRA, or VISSIM
Experience in Complete Streets, bicycle, and pedestrian facility design
Experience with a stormwater design software is a plus (e.g. HydroCAD or HydroFlow)
Experience reviewing construction plans, supporting construction bidding, and overseeing construction operations
