Summary: The Electrical Engineer II will be responsible for performing base technical assignments to support production, research, development, design, test and other engineering activities related to electronic designs for use in various aircraft categories. In addition, the role will involve engineering support to resolve field issues that are design related or not. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assist in the design of products to support customer, manufacturing, regulatory, industry standard, and market requirements Provide production technical support Perform analog and digital design, circuit analysis, and simulation Perform product troubleshooting and lab testing for both new designs and in-service products Prepare, review, and approve documentation, work instructions, test procedures, etc. to define and validate designed products Participate in design reviews both internally with peers and externally with customers Travel requirements: Occasionally be required to travel, both domestically in the United States and internationally (15%) Adhere to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture Other duties may be assigned Evening and/or weekend hours may occasionally be required.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering A minimum three (3) years' experience in electronics design in a regulated industry Experience with analog and digital circuits including op-amps, comparators, discrete devices, ADCs, and power switching circuits Experience and hands-on capability with troubleshooting and solving technical problems related to circuit and system failures Hands-on experience with typical electrical test and measurement equipment Ability to demonstrate analytical problem solving Strong communication and team-building skills Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while performing multiple tasks Proficiency in a schematic capture program such as Cadence OrCAD Proficiency in a circuit simulation program such as pSpice Proficiency in calculation tools such as Excel or MathCAD Structured problem solving techniques Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
